Celebrate with Foamiran

I had a break from colouring and made this shabby card for a change.  I love the new Wood Grain Background stamp from Whimsy Stamps, and more so that I can stamp and heat emboss it on to patterned paper and get a great effect, like I did here.  That’s the only stamping on the card, I used some foamiran flowers to decorate and finished it off with a sentiment from the digital Vintage Sentiments set also from Whimsy Stamps

I made the bird with a mould and some hot glue then just gave it a coat of white paint.

Elsa the Fairy

I’m so predictable but when there’s fairy stamps to be coloured and Christmas cards to be made I’m in!  So, here’s another one of those cards using the super sweet Elsa the Fairy from Whimsy Stamps latest release.  The sentiment is from the Holiday Mini Sentiments stamp set.  It’s one of my favourite sentiment sets because the sizing is just perfect to tuck away on a busy card and let’s face it …. my cards are BUSY lol.

The copic colours used are

Skin: D04, 11, 21, 00, 000, R20
Hair: E35, 53, 51, 20
Coat, Boots: E42, 41, 40, W0; Fur W0, W00, 0
Skirt: BG57, 53, B00, B000
Star: YR27, 24, Y13
Robin: E27, 25, 21, R14
Holly: BG99, G46, 43

I die cut some petals from glitter card to layer in-between the watercolour paper petals.  I LOVE the extra sparkle.  And talking of sparkle, the glitter got all over the shop, hence the little black spots in the close ups.  The leaves …. I used a crackle effect stamp and bundled sage ink on the card before die cutting the holly for a bit extra detail on the leaves.

The papers is a mish mash out of the scraps drawer(s).  I wish I could use more of that instead of buying more that I really don’t need.

Ruby’s Christmas Wish

I love making Christmas cards, I really do.  It’s the perfect excuse to go bling crazy!  I also love aqua and red together, so when I found these fab digi papers that I had printed out last year and never gotten round to using, wellll … the card about made itself.

The sweet stamp is Ruby’s Christmas Wish and is new in at Whimsy Stamps this month.  The digi papers are I Dream in Christmas by Crissy Armstrong.

I coloured the stamp with copic markers:

Hair: E29, 25, 50
Skin: E04, 11, 21, 00, 000, R20
Red: R46, 37, 24, 14
Aqua: BG57, 53, B000
Gold: YR27, 24, Y13

The flowers are handmade using watercolour paper and the Lily Flower Die set.  After die cutting the paper I spritzed it with water and twisted it up then set it aside to dry a little.  Before it was totally dry I used a medium sized ball tool and cupped the petals from the back to shape them.  

Oh, and did you spy that sweet little glass bauble?  Too stinking cute.  I got a set off 10 from eBay for under £3.  

I finished off the flowers with some holly leaves and mistletoe from the Christmas Branches die set.  I painted the card with some gold paint before die cutting.  Loving the sparkle!

I finished off with a sentiment stamped and embossed onto red card.  Not done the red before and love the effect.

Delightful Daisies

Two CAS cards in two days – I need to go lay down in a dark room lol. 

Today’s card features the stunning Delightful Daisies background stamp and the Notched Squares Die set from the September Whimsy Stamps release.  

Alyce from Kit & Clowder gave the most superb free Flower class away during their Facebook Group celebrations …. wow!  I learned so much.  Her talent is mind blowing, and my colouring of this gorgeous stamp is a homage to the very talented Alyce.  I'm thrilled with how dimensional the finished flowers look, those petals took on a life of their own!  I changed up the centres (because hellooo awkward me lol) though followed her basic instructions of incorporating the colour of the petals in with the yellows and browns of the centre.  That girl is genius!  I'm definitely signing up for more classes, that's for sure.

I kept the additions to a minimum, this stamp does ALL the talking!  I adhered 3 of the Happy large word die together and finished off with the birthday sentiment from the Happy Sayings stamp Set.

You’re my boo!

It’s new release day at Whimsy Stamps, and I’ve got a super quick and easy card for my post today.

I inked through the Halloween Creatures stencil and popped an enamelled dot on the spiders bellies and finished it off with a stamped sentiment from this months CAS stamp set – You’re My Boo.  I created the envelope shape with the Envelope Edgers Die Set.
