Sending Hugs

I’m back with a shabby(ish) card, I really do love this style.  I used the fabulous Lattice Background stamp from Whimsy Stamps again, this time I heat embossed right over patterned paper.  Oh, and excuse the darn glue string, I just spotted it whilst writing this post, off to hunt the pesky thing down now lol.

I stamped and heat embossed the large shamrock stamp from the Shamrock Wishes stamp set, which is the CAS set for January, onto some vellum and cut it up into three heart shaped pieces which I used behind the flowers and leaves.

I picked up the dinky little bottles (already filled) from The Range, IIRC they were £1 for a pack of 8 – total bargain!

I printed out a sentiment from my digital Vintage Sentiments available at the Whimsy Stamps store and popped in some bling behind and around the flowers because …. bling!

Friends Always

Whimsy Stamps included a fabulous lattice background stamp and coordinating Background Buddies stamps in the newest release (links at the bottom of the post).  I used the butterfly buddy stamp at each intersection on the lattice.  Love, love, love how this turned out!

I heat embossed the stamping with white embossing powder, the sentiment was stamped onto vellum then mounted onto a piece of plain kraft card to help it pop off the card.  I used a set of stitched dies I picked up from Ebay last year to make the base and layer of the card.  I think the stitching works really well with the lattice.

A few mulberry flowers and some die cut leaves and job done.

Fairy Wishes

I’m loving the Fairies that Whimsy Stamps have released this month and …. hint, hint ……. there are more of these beauties to come! 

Today’s card features Fairy Wishes, with the sentiment from the You’re My Always sentiment stamp set.  Can you say cute??

I coloured the little sweetie with Copic Markers, which Whimsy Stamps are now stocking.

The foamiran flowers were made from white foamiran coloured with soft oil pastels using the Peony Flower Die Set for the large aqua and small white roses and the mini chrysanths were made using a daisy die. 

The paper is from the Craft & You Vintage Time paper pad.

Fairy Friends

Day 2 of the Whimsy Stamps January release, and today it’s all about the fairies!  Love love LOVE these little sweeties and was over the moon happy that Whimsy Stamps are now going to be stocking them in foam mounted red rubber.  There are three that have been released this month, but do keep yer eyes peeled because there is so much more goodness to come.

I coloured the image with copics:

Bunny & Bells: C3, 1, 000, 0000

I added some Ranger Distress Glitter to the wings, wand and bells.  Oh and the flowers too.

I die cut some glitter stars and leaves to add a bit more sparkle, because … bling!  The sentiment is from the January CAS (Customer Appreciation Stamps program)

Fun with Twinkling H2O’s

Happy New Year!  I truly hope 2018 is going to be our best year yet (I know, I say it every year but we gotta live in hope, right? lol)

It’s new release time at Whimsy Stamps and there’s a smorgasbord to choose from this month – from the sweetest new fairies, background stamps and fun stencils as well as sentiment sets and super cute images ……. can you say penguin?!?  So pop on over to the website to take a peek.  I’ve linked the products used at the end of the post.

I’ll be featuring one of the fairies tomorrow, but for now I’ve make a jewel toned card using of of the new stencils, a new set of sentiment stamps and I even dug out and blew off the dust of my Twinkling H2O’s to make the background for my card.  Go me!

I started off the background with embossing paste through the Flower Flourish stencil, poured over gold embossing powder whilst the paste was still wet and set it aside to dry for a couple hours.  Only then did I heat emboss it to set the powder, this way the paste was already dry so didn’t bubble up.  Then I set to with three Twinkling H2O colours and had fun.  I used to love getting inky but somehow over the years lost sight of this once I started in with copic markers.  I’m so glad I now have the time to do this more often.

I finished off the card with some mulberry flowers and a sentiment from the You’re My Always stamp set which I mounted behind a clay frame.
