Bluebell Fun

Morning!  I’ve another card using one of those too stinkin’ cute mice from Di’s Digi Stamps, this one is Bluebell Fun which is on the Mice page on the website.  Be warned, this little cuties will climb into your basket all by themselves, they sure do for me!  When I saw the Christmas ones I about Eek, eek, eekity eeked myself inside out lol.  These little mice melt my heart, Di has captured their innocence to perfection.

I coloured this up with distress inks – Hickory Smoke and Tattered Rose for the mice, Tumbled Glass and Hickory Smoke for the bluebells and Peeled Paint for the green.  I added one of those Anita’s butterflies to the bottom corner.  I went back to the Range and bought another 10 packs ….. you can never ever have too many butterflies!

I flattened the gorgeous tulle trim with my mini straighteners, they are marvellous for “ironing” lace, ribbon, etc.  I think I prefer it flatter, it doesn’t overpower the card.  The mini straighteners don’t get as hot as my GSD’s which, I’m sure, would totally melt the tulle.  So if you try this, test it out on a small piece first, your straighteners may get a lot hotter than mine.

I spritzed the white roses with Lindy's Stamp Gang mists to get the different tones to match the image and papers.

In the pink

I need me some bright and cheerful given that I think summer is going to be a non-event for us here in the UK this year.  I’ve still got the heating on in the evenings it’s been that cold.  Wretched weather.

So, I decided to cheer myself up with cutting into some yummy paper and combining it with some Scrapiniec chipboard from Noor Design.  Isn’t that grandfather clock just stunning?  It’s part of the Park Avenue Clock Set.

WOC and I Am Roses flowers, Prima doily die (yes, another new one lol) and the sweet banner is from the Magnolia Doo Hickey Club Kit 10 which is absolutely fantastic, I can’t believe the amount of dies I got for my money.  There’s still a couple knocking around in stock here

Love how girly this turned out.

Wee Springtime

I’m still on the Wee stamps train, this time I decided to get my distress inks out to colour up this little sweetie – Springtime from Whimsy Stamps

I used the following inks to colour up the stamp
Pumice Stone - bunny
Spun Sugar and Aged Mahogany (mixed) - flowers
Weathered Wood and Tumbled Glass (mixed) – bird
Antique Linen - basket
Espresso - branch.

The cute little dragonfly is from the Magnolia Club kit 10, I think there may be one or two still available at Noor Design.

It’s Anything Goes with the option of using Scrapiniec chipboard for Noor Design’s challenge for July, not that I need an excuse to use these sublime chipboards.
The chipboard is slightly off-white and me being so anal I gave them a quick coat of white paint before gluing the layers together.  I also zapped the organza ribbon with a heat gun to wrinkle and curl it a bit before gluing it in-between the flowers.
These chipboards make such a classy statement.  I’m addicted to them!
The butterflies are Anitas stickers from The Range, I zapped them with the heat gun as well to curl the wings but oh man, if you try this it takes literally a second to curl them.
