I have a little Christmas candy for you, a set of Aquamarkers from Letraset), two lots of that gorgeous Seam Binding for you to distress and alter till your heart’s content, a whole bunch of flowers, two Lili of the Valley stamps and a handful of charms.

Something different for a change

I have wanted these Ellie stamps from Stamposaurus Stamps for ages and never got round to getting any so when I was commissioned to make some cards using these sweet little elephants I was thrilled.  I really loved making this card – it made such a change after all the Christmas cards.

The papers are Prima Jack & Jill, love the brown/blue combo.  I edged the papers (and everything else!!) with Walnut Stain distress ink then went round with Stickles after stitching the papers in place.

The stars are die cut from a Sizzix die from thin chipboard (someone asked me what I cut chipboard with – if it’s thin I run it through my Cuttlebug, if it’s the thick chipboard I use my trusty old Sizzix die cutter – the ancient red one – but am restricted with what dies I use as it don’t take the Bigz dies.)  I coated the stars with TH Crackle paint – picket fence – then once it was dry I applied the walnut stain ink and Stickles to the edges.  The sentiment is SU Riveted (I think this may have been discontinued, but not 100% sure).

The gorgeous lace was in a DT pack and I love it!  The ribbon is that seam binding again, it started life as ivory but I spritzed it with Glimmer Mist and scrunched it up then left it to dry.  I punched two holes in the small star (Quickutz die) then threaded the seam binding through for a button effect.

The image has been coloured with Promarkers.  I used Cool Grey 3,2,1 and blender for Ellie, pastel pink and almond for the ear and paw, meadow and marsh green and a touch of blender for the grass,  cornflower and pastel blue for the butterfly and flower.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts20mm rose, Cherry Blossom, and 15mm roses.

Apologies for all the photos, I do tend to go overboard sometimes lol.  The leaves and butterfly are both Martha Stewart punches.

Right, I’ve totally exhausted myself now lol so I’ll say cheerio.

Baking with Nana, a oops moment and a toot for Oyster Stamps

Yep I had another of those “moments” this weekend.  It’s funny now, it wasn’t then lol.  I had stamped out this sweet Baking with Nana image (another stamp that has been neglected for well over a year!) and had coloured it in all ready to go on the card when clever clogs here decided to stamp the sentiment out ……… and dropped the ink pad on the image!!!  Just what you don’t need when you are trying to churn out as many Christmas cards as you can!  There was no way I was colouring it again – I had spent ages faffing on with the distress inks (I am getting to dislike these more and more lol) and the black ink pad had fallen on the little girl sat on her stool so I salvaged what I could by cutting around the grandma and popping her on a new piece of card.  The things we do to save a bit of card rofl.
The gorgeous vintagey papers are GCD Joyful Peace – OMW these papers are sublime!  Love the rich deep colours.  The flat gardenia is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley.
The border punch is a Martha Stewart around the page set – Combo Cherish that I got from Oyster Stamps.  I am SO impressed with them – their prices are fantastic, P&P is free if order is over £20 and it arrives the next day too.  I ordered it a couple of weeks back (but ordered the wrong one DURR), phoned them to explain and they put the correct one in the mail for me and I had to send the incorrect one back.  Well, super efficient (NOT!!!!!!!!!) Royal Mail nicely went and lost the replacement.  No trouble to the lovely girls at Oyster Stamps, when I phoned them they put another replacement in the mail for me next day special delivery.  Now how is that for service!!!  I just had to mention this as they went out of their way to help.  Toot toot Oyster Stamps, you really are a brilliant bunch of people!
That’s it from me today, one more day at work then I’m on me jollies for a couple of weeks, can’t wait!!

LOTV Christmas Carols

Yep, I am still franticly churning out Christmas cards – I will still be making them on Boxing Day at this rate lol.  but, I had a large batch of samples to make for one of my DT’s and have managed to get them all done this weekend, I’m one very happy girl woohoo.

In-between the samples I managed to get a couple more Christmas cards done, and even went back to the old distress inks.  Still prefer alcohol markers to the inks, so won’t be using them very often I don’t think.

I used one of the fabulous large dies from Go-Kreate for this card, these dies really are amazing, love the shape of this one - Half XXL Frame Frilly #2.  The paper is GCD Joyful Peace.

The image is Christmas Carollers from Lili of the Valley, as is the circular sentiment.  The little wooden angel I picked up from Hobbycraft and gave it a lick of TH Distress Crackle Paint.

The satin edged chiffon ribbon is from The Craft Fairy.  The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts natch, and I used 20mm roses, cherry blossoms, 4mm rose buds

Apologies that the pics are so blurry, there is something up with my camera and it’s doing my head in!!!  It’s got me totally flummoxed, the centre of the picture is blurred where the stamped image is, the rest is crystal clear.  Any suggestions anyone?

Two more days at work then I am off till 4th January woohoo whoop whoop, can’t wait!!
