Stampavie Challenge – Fall, and Wild Orchid Challenge – Ribbons and Bows

It’s Stampavie Challenge day, and this time the challenge is Fall.  Now I am not sure the colours say Fall, but the image sure does.  It’s also our sixth challenge at Wild Orchid Challenges. Where did the last 3 months go to?  This week our challenge is another nice and easy one – ribbons and bows.

Very similar to yesterdays card with using the same paper pad.  Isn’t this image just so gorgeous.  Loving these anoraks lol.  The punched border is one of the new MS ATP punches my mate Claudia Rosa got for me – I love this one (I can see me wearing this set out lol).  Thanks honey xxx

If you missed the video tutorial, here’s how I tie my bows.

The flowers are 35mm wild rose, 15mm roses, cherry blossoms, aster daisies.  I made a pearl swirl using a Bazzill Bling template and some yummy deep red pearls.  I’ve added lots of bling with Diamond Stickles, I love the gold tone when applied to green and red, so pretty.

The image has been coloured with Copics, I think I have managed to work out the colours I used.

Trousers: E77, E74, E71, E70
Hair: E79, E74, E50
Scarf: R39, R35, R32

My favourite Sarah Kay winter image

I do love this little cutie – Rose cuddling the winter bunny from Stampavie. My card today is one of the commissions I have been beavering away on this past few weeks. I was asked to make a sample of each of the new Sarah Kay Christmas stamps for The Hobby House so here’s the first one.

The colours on all of them are very similar as I had to work from the Memory Box Mistletoe pad (no hardship cuz I totally love every paper in the pad). This paper with the birds was the only one I was not sure on but after I had made the card up I decided I love it just as much as the rest lol.

The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the little beaded organza flowers are from The Hobby House. The gorgeous sentiment I picked up from Oyster Stamps when I was at the Harrogate show last weekend. I could not believe the price – the set of stamps (approx 6 x 4”) has around 14 stamps in the set and was £2.99! Me loves a bargain lol. They are Clear Stamps by Kaiserkraft. This set is called Christmas Sentiments.

The fab border punch is one of the newly released (in the US) ATP punch sets that I received this week as a surprise from a very special lady. Thanks sweetheart xxxx You are WAY too good to me xxx

The doily is a Marianne D die, I have edged it with Diamond Stickles (along with everything else that I could Stickle on the card lol). The sentiment has been punched out with SU punches.

I coloured the image with Copics but I have no idea which colours I used as I coloured all the images at the same time (you should have seen my desk, I think I had practically every Copic pen out on the desk lol).

Simon Says Stamp Saturday Surprise

Just Magnolia – Lace it up

Our challenge at Just Magnolia this week is LACE IT UP – so you can take the challenge literally and do some lacing up on your card, or you can use lace – real or paper, so nice and easy.

I’ve gone with the easy option – lace (that’s a no brainer for me lol).  This card is a commission (one of three christening cards that have been ordered) and the spec was this particular Magnolia image, pink, soft yellow and butterflies – just my kind of card.

I resorted to Distress Inks to colour the image – me no likey the Copic pinks, they are either to dark or too harsh.  The sentiment is computer generated (I used Amazone and Chocolate Box, both free fonts)

The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts, I used Classic Sweet Roses. cherry blossoms, 20mm roses, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, and gypsophila.  The gorgeous guipure butterfly lace is also from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The paper is Marianne D Baby Girl.

I used my new sewing machine that I got from Cooper Sewing Machines – I love it!  I have been using one of those little Janome machines and whilst it sews brilliantly there is not much choice in stitches and stitch sizes.  My new machine is all singing, all dancing lol – does 27 stitches, is nice and light and best of all was under £100.  Bargain!  It arrived in a couple of days as well (and I only just got round to taking it out the box I’ve been so busy).

Right I need to get cracking again, no rest for the wicked and I am soooo wicked lol.  Have a fabulous weekend.
