Lili of the Valley cutie

Today I’m sharing one of the cards I was commissioned to make.  I just adore the new stamps from Lili of the Valley that were released this week, they are all a dream to colour and sure have a feel-good factor to them aaah.

The papers are MME Bella Bella from Dies to Die For, the ticket is Tim Holtz Adage ticket, the dew drops are from Crafty Feeling, and the raffia ribbon is from Hobbycraft.

The image has been coloured with distress inks and Twinkling H2O’s.  Just look at his little face, the expression is priceless lol.

Whiff of Joy June Stamp Kit – Fun in the sun

Afternoon all, just dropping by to let you know about the FAB new stamp kit from Whiff of Joy, designed by Elisabeth Bell.

You asked, we listened :) Our bi-monthly stamp kits now come

• as a 12cm x 12cm (4,76''x4,76'') stamp plate,
• mounted on cling,
• already stored in a CD jewel case (for easy storage).

The kits now include about 11!! stamps, but only cost 15 EUROS. Lots of people asked us for more affordable kits and we reacted to your wishes :)

Whiff of Joy Challenge – a sketch

It’s Whiff of Joy Challenge time again, missed not having it last week.  This week we have a fabulous sketch by Donalda, loved working with it honey.


I have used one of my very favourites of all the Whiff of Joy stamps – from the Spring Kit but she’s available singly here Kneeling Willow which has been coloured with my beloved distress inks and Twinkling H2O’s.   I have also used the gorgeous new vintage digi papers from Bearly Mine Crafts, I printed off two sheets from the set.  Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous lol. 

 

I had to flip the sketch as buttons for brains here managed to get a lovely black inky splodge in the top corner.  I did a pearl swirl using a Bazzill Bling template on the bottom diagonal. 



The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts natch – flowers used (all linked) 15mm roses, 20mm roses, 30mm wild roses, 40mm wild rose.  I dabbed some Vintage Photo distress ink on the cream roses then blinged them all to within an inch of their lives with pearl and old lace glimmer mists.

Crafters Companion challenge

Today sees the launch of the Crafters Companion monthly challenge blog.  Anyone can enter, as long as you use products that are on the website – stamps (SCACD, Penny Black, Popcorn, Cute Companions, Joanna Sheen, etc, etc, etc) or any image from any of their CD’s.  Sara is putting up a fab prize - and it’s a surprise  collection that has not even been released yet, so be one of the first to get your hands on it

The first challenge is a sketch that has been designed by Leann.

I unearthed some more of the Karen Neuberger papers that I have been hoarding.  I’ve used Spunkette by SCACD and have coloured her with distress inks and twinkling H2O’s (I tried the copics but could not get her hair right, so had a strop, ripped it to shreds and got out my trusty inks lol)

The flowers I have used are cherry blossoms, 15mm roses and tiny rosebuds.  I didn’t even bother with leaves (only cos I forgot – that age thing again!!!).  I stamped the flower again and popped it up on some foam pads for a bit of dimension.

I love these colours together, I think I may have just found another fave combo lol.  My hubby made me a stand for my sewing machine instead of it being pushed to the back of my desk so now it’s permanently accessible you will be seeing lots more stitching on my cards.
