New stocks at Wild Orchid Crafts

Paul has just emailed me and asked me to let you know that they are busy restocking the website.  First up they have new Crystal Drops (Chandeliers) and they are only £1.20 for six (yes six!!) stems.  There’s a good selection of colours on both gold and silver stems too.

Next up they have restocked the Wild Roses (my all time favourite roses too) and they have the turquoise in stock as well – guess who is going to fill her boots lol.

And I’ve just spotted these Gypsophila flowers – how gorgeous!

They have more stocks to add as soon as they get their delivery so I will keep you posted.

Hope you’re all enjoying your bank holiday weekend. I am stuck in my craft room manically getting samples done for a new release that is coming up in the next couple of weeks.  So if I don’t surface for a few days you know why lol

GDT for Just Cute Bears

I am doing a GDT for Just Cute Bears Challenge blog for the month of May (perfect with all the gorgeous Lili of the Valley Bears I have still to get inky).

The challenge this week is buttons and bows – automatically I think of pink, frilly and girly so how on earth I came up with the exact opposite is beyond me lol.

I have made this card for our Ben and Amy to give to their daddy for fathers day, Rich is always doing something to the house so this image is just perfect for him.

There’s only one button but I guess that qualifies.  The Busy Bear image from Lili of the Valley has been coloured with distress inks and Twinkling H2O’s.  The paper is Basic Grey (can’t remember which pad I used) and the punched border is done with a Martha Stewart Around the Page punch.

Love the sentiment, it is from Clever Cut.  I have inked the edges of the image, sentiment and paper with Vintage Photo distress ink.

I followed a sketch from a challenge blog and can I heck as like remember which one it was.  If anyone knows please let me know so I can credit the blog.

Whiff of Joy new release and Create4Fun Challenge

It's new release day at Whiff of Joy today – and it’s the Get Well collection, which is a collaboration of stamps by all of Whiff of Joy’s designers – Alison Acton’s sweet little Henry, Elisabeth Bell’s Willow and Oakley and Norma Fickels cute little gnomes.  There is also sentiments to complete the collection.

It’s also the new challenge on Create4Fun Challenge blog and this week we have another brilliant sketch to work with.

I have chosen to use Chicken Soup designed by Elisabeth Bell and have gone with the blues again, not sure if the yellow works but yellow is supposed to be a cheerful, pick-me-up colour, just what the doctor ordered lol.  The papers are DCWV Nana’s Nursery Boy.

The image was coloured with distress inks, Inkadinks and Twinkling H2O’s.  The white roses from Wild Orchid Crafts were spritzed with a Glimmer Mist mix that I concocted using Patina and Marshmallow.
