Just Magnolia Special Monthly Challenge

This month our special challenge on Just Magnolia is to create/alter an Easter basket/container.  Lena Katrine has done the most amazing tutorial for us making a basket from paper weaving.  Now to be honest when I first saw the tutorial I thought – this is definitely not for me, I could never do anything like that.  WRONG!!  The tutorial is so well written and easy to understand even a simpleton like me could understand it.

So, here’s my effort.  I’m so pleased with how it turned out, although I think I should have used a paler colour paper for the basket.magnolia-paper-weaving-bask

The paper is K & Co that I have had for a while, the sweet little Magnolia image is from the Winter stamp kit.

The image has been coloured with Inkadinks and Twinkling H2O’s.  The roses are, as always, from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Filled with some yummy choccie eggs.  This basket is for our Amy, and I think I will be refilling the eggs quite a few times before Easter lol.

Please pop across to Just Magnolia and take a peek at the fabulous creations the rest of the DT have made.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

The Lili of the Valley Challenge is a nice easy one this week – to make a Valentine’s card.  I have been itching to use this cute little Teddy with Bouquet stamp.  I still can’t get over the incredible value for money these stamps are!

I just wish I didn’t need to rely on the light box to take my photo’s – this is so not the true colours :(  The paper is a Nitwit download, the ribbon is from The Hobby House and the sentiment is from Crafty Sentiments.  The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts natch lol.  I have coloured the image with Copics.  The punches are all Martha Stewart from The Hobby House.

Back tomorrow with our Just Magnolia Special Monthly challenge.

Whiff of Joy City Girls candy winner

Methinks the City Girls are going to be a HUGE hit judging by all the entries for this candy.  I just wish I had more to give away.  Sadly there can only be one winner and the lucky lady is Emma Ashby.

Congratulations Emma, can you please email me your address so I can post your prize off to you.

Whiff of Joy challenge - Love

A nice easy challenge this week on Whiff of Joy Challenge blog – LOVE.
I’ve used DCWV papers and this adorable Whiff of Joy Henry with heart stamp which I have coloured with distress inks, Inkadinks and Twinkling H2O’s.  Not sure who the sentiment is by – I have so many and can’t find the CD case with that set in.  The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the punch the roses are set on is a Kuretake Heart Petal Flower punch from The Hobby House.

Edited to add the die I have used on this card is a Nellie Snellen - cheap as chips and FAB and works in the Cuttlebug the same as the Spellbinders dies.  I got mine from Cutting Edge Crafts - great service and free P&P!!  And no I'm not on commission lol - just love good service.

I'm in love - hide your Visa alert

It's not often I post two cards in one day but after I coloured this little beauty up I had to get a card made - fast lol.  I can't believe I have had these stamps over a week and just got round to colouring one now.  I'm sad to say I now have another addiction - Sweet Pea Ching-Chou Kuik's stamps.  OMW isn't she just stunning!  A total dream to colour (yes even with Copics can you believe it)!!  I was in such a hurry I even photographed the card using the light box - couldn't wait till tomorrow - way too impatient to see the finished card posted on my blog lol.

I was so impressed I went and pre-ordered the new plate of 4 stamps.  Oh dear, my Visa card has gone into shock!

I have used Basic Grey papers (Wisteria) that I have never been keen on, ahem change of tune here lol.  I don’t even like purple lol (another mind change here lol).
The image is called Love is Gone that I got from Crafts and Me last week.  Only one problem now, I need to tear myself away from these stamps as I have so many DT projects that I need to get done, so I'm off in a mega strop now!

Just seen this card fits this weeks MTTC challenge which is Fairies.

Back tomorrow with my Whiff of Joy Challenge card for this week.
