Some Sarah Kay candy

Candy now closed

I still have stamps to give away as candy - best get a move on then as quite a few of them are Christmas stamps!

Today I have a Sarah Kay Noel Shepherd stamp from Stampavie to give away.

Entry is by Mr Linky only. All you need to do to enter the draw is leave a link to your blog in Mr Linky so I can find you and if you fancy, mention it on your blog (that would be great, but not necessary to be in the draw). The winner will be announced on Friday night.

And if you don't have a blog you can still enter - enter your full name in the name box and in the URL box underneath just link back to my blog and keep a note of your Linky number in case you're the winner

Whiff of Joy challenge - a sketch

Gi_C3_B2 sketch1 This week we have a fab sketch done by Gio for Whiff of Joy.  I decided to attempt an easel card after seeing Jacqui's brilliant tutorial on the Whiff of Joy  Inspirations blog.  I love the colours of these papers from the MME Signature Christmas pad, so rich and yummy.woj-easel-1
One one of the cream layers I ran the DP through the Cuttlebug with the holly folder then swiped a Versamark pad over the raised leaves and heat embossed with gold powder.  I also swiped the Versamark pad around the edges of the centre mat and the sentiment and heat embossed those with the gold powder as well.woj-easel-2

The flower detail - I attacked the chipboard swirls with the Versamark pad and embossing powder again, and got out the trust Stickles to edge the flowers after spritzing them with Cosmic Shimmer Lava Red.woj-easel-3

The beautiful gold ribbon was a RAK from my dear friend Sally, thanks sweetie xxwoj-easel-4

Paper chains

I can remember making paper chains for our tree years and years ago (okay - in the dark ages!!) and loved this image as soon as I saw it. Doesn't she have the sweetest face. I was mooching through my digi downloads and found these - love aqua and red and especially love aqua - not that you'd noticed lol.  motivet-cs-bloghop

Out with the Stickles again, and Cosmic Shimmers for the roses.  The pretty white and blue flowers are from the December Crafty Feeling kit - this is so gorgeous!  Soft blues and lilacs with white and some beautiful buttons and pins too.  Just got to find me some lilac Christmas paper now.  That's why I was mooching thru my digi kits, trying to find papers to match this gorgeous kit.motivet-cs-bloghop1

Sarah Kay

Back home after spending the weekend down in Tetney at The Hobby House doing workshops.  It was great seeing everyone again, and meeting all the new faces.

This is the card we did, once again concentrating on colouring with distress inks and twinkling H2O's.sarah-kay-christmas-worksho

Lots of bling on this card - those Stardust Stickles are sure getting a hammering lol.  And it goes without saying that Twinklets and Christmas cards go hand in hand (well in my house they do lol).sarah-kay-christmas-ws2
