Whiff of Joy candy

This post is pinned at the top, please scroll down for newer posts. NB This candy is closing at 10pm on Friday the 2nd October and NOT Monday the 5th as I have another TWO candies to give away this weekend so make sure you pop back and enter both!!

Once again Katharina has very generously given the DT some candy to give away and once again I have been so slow to post it here. But this time I have a legit excuse. I've been waiting for part of the prize to arrive from the US. It arrived today so here's the candy I've been promising.bevs-woj-candy

I have Henry Mouse holding Christmas Wreath to give away, and I have added some Plum Pudding papers from Craftwork Cards, a selection of the new pearl and jewel brads and a pack of Poinsettias from The Hobby House, a pack of Kaiser brads and the sought after Stampin Up Slot Punch that I love so much. Thanks to a little angel that lives in the US that managed to get the punch for me mwah xxxx. The punch is new, I just took it out the pack for the photo. The slot punch is perfect for making the holes needed to thread ribbon through as I did in the Henry Mouse card below.woj-henry-with-lantern-2

All you need to do is link my candy on your blog and leave a comment here when you have done so. I will draw the winner using a random generator on Monday 5th October. I will post worldwide and this is open to ALL.Entry is by Mr Linky ONLY. If you don't have a blog then email me and I will enter on your behalf so you are in with a chance of winning the candy. The winner will be drawn by Random Generator on the 2nd, so please check back then to see if you have been lucky.

Just Magnolia - Handmade Flowers

This week the Just Magnolia Challenge incorporates the Special Monthly Challenge, which has been moved back to the main Just Magnolia blog (I like things simple remember lol). Michele Roos did a fabulous tutorial on handmade flowers so our challenge this week is to make your own flowers. The tutorial is for reference so if you don't have the same equipment then use what you have. None of the DT had the die that Michele used so we punched, die cut, hand cut, you name it to make our handmade flowers.

The prize is a special one - Simon Says Stamp is giving a $50 voucher to the lucky winner which will be drawn, as usual, by
My card is a rushed one - I started off the week behind after all the prep I needed to do for Ally Pally and I have chased my tail all week. I am finally caught up now thank goodness and even managed to squeeze in some blog hopping tonight. I started off following Michele’s tutorial using punches then went off and did my own thing lol.magnolia-jm-flowers2

Sketch & Stash challenge

LOVE this weeks sketch on the Sketch and Stash challenge blog, it's just my kinda sketch so you will be seeing a few more cards made using it. I love that it's left up to you to decide where to put the sentiment and embellies (seeing as I usually go way adrift when following sketches).motivet-boy-with-snowman1
I have finally inked up one of my new Motivet DT stamps, how cute is this little lad with his snowman! I have used some of the delish Blue Hill Studio Color Stories papers that I received in my last DT package from Create4Fun - they are not Xmas papers but thought this pattern worked great with the image and I love the rich red with a dash of blue (going back to one of my fave colour combos here).

Just a few punched snowflakes coated with Twinklets, some crystal brads and job done. Love love love quick and easy cards, especially at this time of the year.motivet-boy-with-snowman2
