Whiff of Joy Challenge - a sketch by Katharina

Katharina has done a wonderful sketch for us this week, a nice easy one that I'm sure will get lots of use!! It's just as well, because I forgot all about the challenge and had to throw this together last night (so apologies for the rush job!)


I have used the Whiff of Joy Fancy Cake stamp from the Accessories stamps and also used one of the wonderful Party sentiments. I just love the font on the Whiff of Joy sentiment stamps, so classic and elegant.

I have used papers from the Basic Grey Two Scoops 6 x 6 pad, and found this gorgeous powder pink card at the Papermill Shop yesterday which is a perfect match for these yummy papers. The paper reminds me of strawberries and cream, nearly as delish as the cute little cake! The ribbon is Anita's grosgrain also from the Papermill Shop.

My Martha Stewart Lacy Doily punch got another workout lol. A few Prima flowers and buttons and not forgetting some of Sally's gems and job done.

I'm afraid I didn't have time to put an image on the inside of the card - I had it stamped up and cut out but ran out of time so didn't get it coloured, typical of me!!

Whiff of Joy - Sketch Saturday

I really enjoyed using this weeks sketch that Jo did for Sketch Saturday. I used Molly Celebrating Sheep and a sentiment from the new Party Sentiments from Whiff of Joy for the front of the card, and the Presents accessory stamp for the inside. I saw how fabulous Rach's and Jacqui's cards look with an image on the inside (not that their cards aren't always fabulous) so I thought I would try my hand at going the extra mile. It makes such a difference I think so thanks girlies for the inspiration (again!!!)

I used these beautiful K&Co papers that Sally sent me for Christmas - love them, thanks so much Sally. I coloured the image with the usual distress inks/H2O's and added some white touches with a Uniball Signo pen from Stampin Up. The ribbon is from Hobbycraft and then added a few orange Dew Drops.
As you can see my Martha Stewart Lace Doily punch had a good old workout last night, I do love this punch (not that you can tell lol).

Friday Sketchers - Sarah Kay and an award

Murielle has done the most amazing sketch for Friday Sketchers challenge this week, I love it and will definitely be using it again.

The inside is not showing up very well, I really struggled to photgraph it - the lights on were bleaching out the colours and the lights off left me with this dark and dismal picture - oh for sunny days!!! The sentiment is the same coloura as the plum card - honest *rolls eyes*!!

Magnolia vs Stampavie Challenge - Bow tying skills

This weeks challenge is to test your bow tying skills. So, now that Pam has posted her Ribbon Blossom Tutorial on SCS I thought I would make one again (not done one of these for ages and love making them). I've used my favourite colour combo again, flowers, pearls, swirls and ribbon (no surprises there then!)

Okay...so the 10 HONEST things about me are:

1. I am extremely impatient
2. I am a demon to live with - how my husband has put up with me for 30 odd years is beyond me
3. I have the best friends EVER - and a lot of them I have been so lucky to find through blogging
4. I am an eternal dieter, I just wish I was as easy to lose these pesky pounds as it is to find them
5. I can't abide the smell of cigarettes, probably because I am an ex smoker (gave up nearly 20 years ago and we're always the worst!!)
6. Adore indian food, detest chinese food.
