Penny Black Staurday Challenge

Loved the sketch on PBS challenge this week, another I will use again. The rules are: you can flip the sketch or resize the elements - but please do not move any of the elimantes on the sketch - as long as we can see the original sketch. So, here's my take on it.
Stamp is Penny Black Royal Mail from The Hobby House, coloured with distress inks and H2O's as usual, sentiment is from Cuddly Buddly.
Papers are Li'l Davis Love Affair also from The Hobby House - thought they worked really well with the Christmas image.
Snowflakes are Martha Stewart and Woodware punches.
Scalled punched border is Fiskars Threading Water Punch.
The ribbon is from The Scrapbook Village in Sunderland

Whiff of Joy challenge # 3

Have you seen the fab sketch that Heather did for this weeks Whiff of Joy Challenge? I love it and will be using it a lot!!

I have coloured Lying Matthew with my usual distress inks and H2O's, I didn't ink up the sentiment that comes with the stamp as I wanted to make it a Christmas card for my grandson Ben - this kid is going to have soooooooo many Christmas cards this year cos I can't pick a favourite for him. Each one I make I think "That will do for Ben" only now I think I'm up to number 20!!!
The papers are the gorgeous and now discontined Stampin Up Wintergreen (lurve these).
The snowflakes are the usual Woodware punches and the stocking charm is part of a fab set I got from my fab friend Karen (thanks sweetie xx)

Here's a close up of the snowflakes and charm.

Camilla has some delicious blog candy up for grabs, it's only on offer for a week so get yer skates on girls!!

Thanks for looking,

Charlie and his dog

This stamp puts me in mind of my grandson - from when he was first born his Joey used to sleep under his pram and cot and would put up with ears and tail being yanked and pulled and has never ever told Ben off (thats Cavaliers for you!!) A boy and his dog, that's our Ben and his Joey. The trip down memory lane aside I'm entering this card in the Papertake Weekly challenge, it's another of Carole's amazing sketches. I'm also entering it in CCT - Christmas Animals.

I saw a fab idea for suspending charms with charms on Fran's blog so have pinched her idea, how cool to use the snowflake charm as a spacer and hang the tree off it. Fran has the most fabulous ideas so please go and visit her blog.

Here's a close up of the snowflakes punched from glitter card (a girl as gotta have sparkle and bling at Crimbo)

The Whiff of Joy stamp has been coloured with distress inks and H2O's (what else - still dithering about the Copics - I am so scared to spend all that money and not get the results I do with the inks and H2O's).
Paper is Basic Grey Dasher
Ribbons are from Hobbycraft, the wide centre one is from Michales (thanks Sally!!)
The large snowflakes are punched with a Martha Stewart punch (thanks again Sally) and the small ones are a Dovecraft punch
The corner has been punched with a Stampin Up punch
The bling brads are Papermania, the crystal cabouchons are from Sally
Charms are from Ebay
