31 Nights of Halloween

 

Whimsy Stamps are running their annual 31 Nights of Halloween event, with prizes and projects galore on the Whimsy Blog, and today is my turn to post some Halloween fun!

I chose to use the  Slimline Hill House die and teamed this with the  Spooktacular Clear Stamp set and a couple of sentiments from the You're My Boo stamp set.

I die cut a mask for the moon, popped it in place then inked the panel with Distress Oxides (Old Paper, Evergreen Bough, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot).  I added black oxide splatters and allowed to dry before removing the mask.  I added some shadows to the moon with copic markers and finished off with some spooky clouds by inking the panel with a cloud stencil and white pigment ink.

The house was backed with gold glitter card and adhered in place (after performing surgery and chopping the bottom off so the house would fit on the A2 sized card.)  I layered a couple strips of grass that I also inked with white pigment ink so they would stand out against the house.  I finished off with a copic coloured wee ghostie and a couple heat embossed sentiments.

And this, my friends, is most definitely the LAST Halloween card from me for another year!  I'm done and so into CHRISTMAS!!!! Ha!
