Whimsy Stamps has a new mini release today and I went for some new, some old on my card.
I started off by inking a panel of card with distress oxides - fossilised amber, dried marigold, picked raspberry and chipped sapphire. After it was dry I stamped on trees from the Create a Scene - Forest rubber stamp, added splatters with white gouache and then drew in some stars with a white gel pen. I die cut the Arched Window Die four times and adhered them together to make the window frame pop a bit from the card.
I die cut a scalloped trim from the new Calico 6x6 paper pack ..... those papers are delicious!! Just saying!) I used the FaDoodles Scalloped Rectangle Frames, and trimmed it to fit along the bottom of the window. I also used the Calico paper to stamp and die cut the cushions. The dies form part of the new Soul Sisters Dies and Soul Sisters Stamps sets.
I coloured the image with copic markers before die cutting and popped the girlie up on the window ledge with some foam squares, then finished off with a heat embossed sentiment from the Everyday Mini Sentiments stamps.
I wanted a bold and bright sky background and I think blending the colours I did really make that sky bright!
