Nautical and Shabby and more candy too!

I’ve a couple of Dutch Doobadoo MDF projects to share today, a calendar using the fab Ship’s Wheel and just because I have to have me some pink I also decorated a door hanger.

I painted the wheel with gold acrylic paint, then a coat of crackle medium then finished off with white acrylic paint.  I added a brass 100 year calendar to the centre (this puppy was MADE for the wheel!).  I got the calendar here

The embellishments are from the new paper art.  These are fab!  I embossed these with Old Silver Frantage embossing powder.  I love the look this gives, and totally transforms the paper art.

For my next project I went so totally PINK!  I used the gorgeous Vintage wood papers from Noor! Design

Butterflies, flowers and gesso added to the shabby chick look I wanted for this.

    What gorgeous creations! I love the ship's wheel, and with the 100 year calendar it will make a gift that really will be treasured forever. The die is really cute - that little bird on the fence is a great finishing touch.
