Yep, I am still franticly churning out Christmas cards – I will still be making them on Boxing Day at this rate lol. but, I had a large batch of samples to make for one of my DT’s and have managed to get them all done this weekend, I’m one very happy girl woohoo.
In-between the samples I managed to get a couple more Christmas cards done, and even went back to the old distress inks. Still prefer alcohol markers to the inks, so won’t be using them very often I don’t think.
I used one of the fabulous large dies from Go-Kreate for this card, these dies really are amazing, love the shape of this one - Half XXL Frame Frilly #2. The paper is GCD Joyful Peace.
The image is Christmas Carollers from Lili of the Valley, as is the circular sentiment. The little wooden angel I picked up from Hobbycraft and gave it a lick of TH Distress Crackle Paint.
The satin edged chiffon ribbon is from The Craft Fairy. The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts natch, and I used 20mm roses, cherry blossoms, 4mm rose buds.
Apologies that the pics are so blurry, there is something up with my camera and it’s doing my head in!!! It’s got me totally flummoxed, the centre of the picture is blurred where the stamped image is, the rest is crystal clear. Any suggestions anyone?
Two more days at work then I am off till 4th January woohoo whoop whoop, can’t wait!!
hugs
Beautiful card! And I like Colour solutions!
ReplyDeleteHi Bev, have you got a bit of damp in your camera, try some where warm to leave it (not to close to the fire) ha ha, but it may do the trick, I had similar problems and that was what it was, hope this helps,
ReplyDeleteyour cards gorgeous, love that shape, did you use the larger shapes so your cards bigger? ie: more thean 6x6?

Bev... email me about the camera.. There are a few things it could be.. I don't think damp is the problem, because it would come over as a frosty look, not unfocused..

Love the shape of the card, so eye-catching, adore the image and the papers and ribbons and flowers, well, the whole thing is superb. That is another gorgeous card! I'm not sure what kind of camera you're using, but wonder if it's focusing on the angel or having difficulty focusing on the center because of all the white? Mine gives me fits too, mostly when trying to do close-ups. Good luck!
