That’s Christmas done and dusted for another year, as I get older I wonder more and more what all the fuss is about (and the expense for that matter). Okay so I got my bah humbug hat on again lol.
I have another one of the Ellie from Stamposaurus commissions to share today, I really do love this little elephant.
I found these sweet baby papers in my stash. I think they are from a Forever Friends pad that I got a while back, but not 100% sure. I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page set to frame the gingham paper. It’s the Vintage Floral combo. The scroll is a from the Magnolia DooHickey Leaf and Swirl set.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts – 8mm semi open roses, 15mm roses, 25mm tea rose. Punched leaves looked too heavy for the card so I just twirled some of the waste wire from the flowers around a pokey tool then fixed in place with Crafters Pick Incredibly Tacky Glue (I use this glue to affix all my embellishments, even the gingham bow didn’t get missed lol.) The lace is also from Wild Orchid Crafts as are the little pearl stamens.
The sentiment is from one of the Lili of the Valley circular sentiments sets. Nothing escaped the Stickles treatment either (just love this stuff!).
Enjoy the rest of the holidays (if you are lucky enough to have time off work).
hugs,
Beautiful card, gorgeous papers/embellies and love the image, it's sooo sweet.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - I hope when my grandchild is born I can do their card as much justice as you have xx
ReplyDeleteA gloriously summery inspired card! Fabulous flourishes and flower arrangements! My hubby too, wonders why we can't all be happy & want to spend time with loved ones on ......say........March 9th....why just Christmas?! As we drove past all the houses in our town (on our way home from supper with my side of the family), we saw vehicles from all across the country here to visit their loved ones. Why only once a year? Why spend so much money once a year.....why not a little each day? I wouldn't say your a bah-hum.. (..buger-lol), just a realist! Keep up the inspiring work into the new year!!
ReplyDeleteAaawww this is sooo adorable Bev! Love this little ellie! Gorgeous papers, love the around the page punch and lovely swirl die!
ReplyDeleteBah humbug indeed, I'll be glad when it's all back to normal :D

Your comments on Christmas reflect my own, glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. Perhaps age makes us more cynical, but at least we get the chance to play with shiny papers and glitter to our hearts content.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely delightful, love it :)
