This is going to be a busy blogging week for me with two cards most days. First up today is another Adorables from Crafters Companion sneak peek.
For this card I created the snowy scene by stamping the two different fir tress stamps that are on the stamp sheet, then I coated them with a liberal dose of liquid appliqué and glamour dust. I also used the applique and dust to make snow on the foreground. I then stamped up the little girl and boy in his sled and coloured those up with Promarkers. The colours used are:
Skin: Apricot, Oatmeal, Blush
Browns: Shale, Henna, Cinnamon and Tan
Blues: Duck Egg, Cool Aqua, Tea Green
The sentiment (also from the stamp plate) was stamped on to a Magnolia tag die and I stamped some of the snowflakes (also from the stamp plate) around the edges of the tag. The Marianne D doily behind the image was edged with Broken China distress ink as was the tag, the die cut flourishes (from the doily die set) an the image.
The flat gardenia was blitzed with Glimmer Mists to within an inch of it’s life lol. I also went crazy with the Stardust Stickles (a girl has got to have some bling at Crimbo for sure).
Next up is my card for a brand new challenge blog Oldie but a Goodie, and I am so honoured to be their GDT for the first two challenges. And what did I go and do, made a total hash of the first challenge. The challenge is New Beginnings, so where on earth this card came from I will never know. What a numptie I am rofl. So I am calling this card a “New Friendship” card and that’s that lol.
I picked up a pad of papers from Hobbycraft last week and it is crammed full of the most stunning vintagey distressed looking papers – I had to keep on mopping up the drool when making this card lol. The pad is by Paper Cellar (was cheap as chips at under £4!!!) and is called Victorian Classic. I need to go and buy more for sure!
I’ve used another of the Magnolia die cut tags and stamped a Magnolia greeting on. (Went crazy with the Stickles again). The gorgeous 25mm organza ribbon is from Wild Orchid Crafts. I love how it shimmers, very delish. The pearls are also from WOC.
I’ve used Copics on this card
Skin: E13 E11, E00, E000, R20
Hair: E79, E74, E71, E70
Dress, socks and shoes: B97, B95, B93, B91, E41, E40
Flowers: YG63, YG11, E43, E40
I have once again cased Rach’s brilliant idea to pop a tag in to write one. Really love this idea hun, you are sooooo clever xx. The flowers are all from WOC and are 30mm wild rose, 20mm roses, 15mm roses, 10mm roses, 4mm rose buds.
This card is for sale on Ebay
So sorry for another epic – I need to go and lie down in a dark room after all this slavver lol. If you’ve made it to here you need a medal!!
