No card today

Sorry there is no card today, my heart was not in it. My Toby lost his battle against heart disease last night - he had a bad weekend and eventually gave up his fight last night.

It hurts so darn much - losing my three oldies in under 6 months is really hard to take even though they gave us so much more than they took.

He was the first pup I bred, he was the happiest little dog ever and had the waggiest tail (so much so he wiggled when he walked). My daughter said a lovely thing last night, she said that Rainbow Bridge needed his waggy tail. You go show them how it's done Toby-boy xxxxxtoby

    I'm so sorry Bev. I truly understand the great pain, when losing our "babies". They are truly like our own children. Their love & loyalty is so unconditional. I'm saddened for you and your family because we've been there. At least you'll always have those priceless memories to hold on to AND that stamped image of a happy wagging tail, impressed on your heart.

    Hi Bev so sad to hear about little Toby. I understand how you feel. Lucy, my little Cocker Spaniel is almost 14 and quite frail. Completely blind and deaf but still a happy wee dog. She has always had a waggy tail too and very much a people dog. She loves people, in fact she often thinks she is a person. Thinking about you.

    Bev, I'm soo sorry about your wee, cute little doggie. He was adorable. I see the picture down on the right of your posts, and it looks like you have had seven of those cute things at once if I counted correctly.

    My grandson recently lost his golden lab, and seeing his grief made me reaiize how painful losing a pet is for those of you that have them.

    I saw your status on FaceBook last night and my heart broke. You've lost so much these past six months! I hope you can find some comfort in those little pups you've now got and concentrate on those and getting them ready for new owners :D You know that Toby fought his battle to the end and didnt want to leave you and what your daughter said is spot on.     I stopped by looking for something, and I found this gorgeous picture of a dog which breed I really like. Only I read he passed away. I'm truly sorry to read such thing; it's happened to me many times and my little last one was worse than any other, I loved him SO much...
    Even though I don't know you I'm sending you my condolences from deep in my heart. It's going to hurt a lot, but you'll get through it and Toby will always be with you, that's for sure :)

    I am so sorry for your loss. I understand all too well what that pain is like. About the only thing right now that can bring you any comfort is the fact that his suffering is over and he is playing happily with your other pets that have gone before him to the Rainbow Bridge. They have met Toby there and they are all healthy now, enjoying one another's company. Someday you will be reunited with them. Until then, they know you must wait and care for those little ones with the same love and devotion you gave to Toby and his companions. My heart goes out to you.

    Oh Bev, I am so sorry for your loss of your dear friend. It is such a horrible feeling. I wanted to share a bit of an e-mail I got about dogs: a little boys dog died and the parents were worried about the kid. He was listening to them fret over him and the sorrow they had for the lost friend. He entered the room and told them not to worry because dogs just didn't live as long as us "because we are here to learn to be pure, happy, be kind and nice, and love unconditionally... so dogs do that anyway and don't have to stay as long as we do!" Thought it was a cute little bit on how wonderful dogs *and little boys* are!

    Hi Bev,

    I'm sorry, what happened to your Toby.
    Anyone who loves animals, can sympathize with you. They are like our children, they accompanied us a few years and we are incredibly sad when they have to go.
    He has gone over the Rainbow Bridge, he is well there and he has no complaints.
    It is difficult to accept that and let the beloved animals, but he lives on in your heart.
    Feel depressed.

    We have a beagle-basset mix (Marty) that is currently fighting Lymphoma. He is on chemo. He's only six years old and he doesn't know he's sick.

    I am sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the day our dog leaves us. I never was a dog lover and my husband finally convinced me after 10 years and the rest is history. Our dog is like the child we never had. Of course we know it's a dog, but it's impressive the love you can feel from this lovely creature. I hope your dog is better now since it was sick and suffering. God bless you.
