Papertake Weekly Sketch

Dawny has done another fab sketch on PTW this week and as soon as I saw it I had to make a card lol. The only problem was deciding which papers to use - I think it takes me longer to chose the papers than it does to plan and make the card and I'm sure I'm not alone here lol.

I've not used this Melinda for a while and this she is just the sweetest little lady.

The inside I have left simple and blank as I had a special person in mind when I made this card so will fill the inside with my scrawl no bother!!

Melinda Helping Angel from Whiff of Joy image coloured with Distress Inks and Twinkling H2O's
The sentiment is also from Whiff of Joy, from their General Sayings set which I have punched out with a SU Word Window punch
The papers are from a HOTP kit off QVC - yes I am still using them!!
The pricking template I used for the corners is from Stampin Up
Flowers, Brads, Charm, Beads, Rondelles and hat in from stash

That's it - a really quick and easy card to make.

    Love It Bev! The papers are gorgeous!! Love the layout,flower with the pin and of course your coloring is just FANTASTIC!
    I know I have alot of trouble picking out papers to use when I color with the distress inks. I have now made a swatch I am going to take to town with me after our winter storm and try to match the distress inks to the papers.There goes my budget!!!

    Gorgeous card Bev. I've got those QVC papers too. Was always a bit afraid to use them as in the pad they are so dark. But I can see from your card that with some beautiful bright embellishments and some light matting and layering it lifts the deeper colours. Thanks Bev..... am inspired again!

    Bev this is delicious, whoever you had in mind for this card is in for a treat that is for sure..so so pretty, gorgeous colouration, fabulous paper and embellishments.
    i am still making my card for this challenge...didn't get much time this evening as we were college visiting with my son.. not sure why as he wasn't at all bothered...kids..lol..
